2009Monday 7th September - Opening Night

Several ten minute presentations by members. Friends and prospective new members are welcome to join us for an informal evening.

Monday 21st September - Peter Anstess ARPS AIIP AIPP(lapsed)

Peter will entertain us with “A Box of Prints”– colour and monochrome - presented with all his humorous, unique and inimitable style.


Last date for members to bring prints, slides and digital images for the NEMPF 2010 Annual Exhibition. The Circle’s selection committee will choose the submissions.

Monday 5th October - First leg of the bi-monthly competition

Judge Roger Parry CPAGB.

Monday 19th October - Geraldine Hillmer from the Wilmslow Guild Photographic Society

Geraldine will give us an evening of monochrome and colour prints entitled “Less Colour – More Impact”. Geraldine specialises in pastel, misty atmospheric work and monochrome.

Monday 2nd November - Members Night

Members will present their best images and explain their latest techniques.

Monday 16th November - Margaret Salisbury FRPS APAGB EFIAP

“People, Landscapes including Ghana – Dragon Pix” Print and technique lecture. Margaret is sponsored by Fotospeed and is one of the best known photographers in the UK and the regions.

Wednesday 25th November

Three way competition between Matlock, Ashbourne and Bakewell, held at Ashbourne.

Second leg of the bi-monthly competition. Judge Bill Hall DPAGB AFIAP BPE5*

Monday 7th December
“A year in the life of a wildlife photographer” by Geoff Trinder ARPS

Geoff has just published a book “Wild Lincolnshire” and works for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trusts. This presentation features wildlife from all around the world.

Monday 21st December - Christmas Party.

Ian Daisley will show us a short presentation and Garry Wingrove will give us a Quiz. The entertainment will be followed by our usual excellent buffet supper. Members and invited guests only.

2010

The NEMPF Exhibition

Trophy presentation and show will be at Durban House, Eastwood from Saturday 9th January 2010 until the 6th February 2010, 10am to 5pm. The official opening and presentation of awards will be on Saturday 9th January.

Practical night with demonstrations.

Final leg of the bi-monthly competition

Monday 1st February - Robert Falconer - “Magic of Mull”

Robert spent four months capturing the island and its wildlife at its best.

Monday 15th February - Members’ Night

Ten minute presentations by members followed by “A session of photographic enjoyment” where members can show their best images.


Last date for members to offer digital images for selection for our entry to the Sheffield Knock out digital competition Friday 19th March

Monday 1st March Theme competition - “Fruit and vegetables”

Monday 15th March - NEMPF Annual Exhibition 2010

Show with commentary and music. A chance to see the best work in NEMPF


Last date for entries for selection for the Bakewell Photographic Circle’s entry for the Five Clubs Print Competition. The clubs are Sheffield, James Maude, Dronfield, Bakewell and Newark Sheffield will be the host and the competition will be on Tuesday 13th April.

Monday 29th March - “A Female in Fleet Street”

Tabloid tales of a national photojournalist by Deborah Brady. Deborah covered some of the biggest news events of the late 1980s and 1990s.

Monday 19th April - Annual competition

Judge David Gibbins ARPS AFIAP APAGB BPE3*.

Monday 26th April - 68th Annual General Meeting


Sunday 9th May - Annual outing

A visit to the National Coal Mining Museum and the Tropical House at Leeds with an option for the Middleton Steam Railway.

Monday 17th May Annual dinner

Presentation of trophies, exhibition of winning prints, slides and digital images, also entertainment provided by members, after the dinner. Members and invited guests are welcome.
